Started through AquaHacking Lake Erie 2017, CyanoSleuth is a hardware and software device that allows regular people to test their water to see if it’s safe to swim from algae toxins. The goal is to make a device that’s easy to use, gives people the information they want, and contributes to a spatially-diverse dataset that researchers can use. I am actively developing this with a team of fantastic people in collaboration with others – and more details will be posted on my blog as they become official!
